XBOSoft continues its thought leadership in software quality with a Webinar on mobile security with Jon Hagar on July 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM EDT.

Mobile and embedded software systems were taking over the world before the “internet of things” and now, even more so as ‘things’ almost always have embedded software. This raises issues and threats regarding your safety and security as most developers don’t think about security threats. They’re worried more about functionality and getting the ‘thing’ to work. But these devices can be hacked and exploited and outsiders can gain access to mobile software devices at an increasing and dangerous rate unless programming and testing staff take measures to prevent them.

On the 10th of July at 11:00 AM EDT Jon and XBOSoft will hold a webinar on mobile security testing. In this webinar we will discuss testing attack concepts with specific considerations for mobile software devices.

Our guest speaker, Jon Hagar has more than 30 years of experience in the mobile and embedded world and has recently published “Software Test Attacks to Break Mobile and Embedded Devices,” a book that focuses on attack based testing.

“The ‘internet of thing’s is becoming pretty scary not only in security and safety but also key privacy issues. I certainly don’t want my heart rate data out there for everyone to see,” says Jan Princen from XBOSoft.
